For nearly a decade, Cross has been fascinated by the World of Wearable Art and its revolutionary impact merging the contemporary art and costume design worlds together. From baby ballet, studio dance lessons, stage productions, singing and choir performances, to most recently pageantry, KEA is inspired by the joyous privilege Cross has experienced growing up in glittering tutus and lace leotards, while also acknowledging her newfound love of National Costumes.
KEA is made from scrap car parts, thrifted materials and fabrics, EVA foam, and over 6,000 hand-applied gems and rhinestones.
